At present, some upstream companies intend to pre-sell the supply before and after the Spring Festival, and the enthusiasm for shipments is relatively high. The downstream rigid demand weakened slightly after New Year's Day. Some small factories intend to suspend work ahead of schedule. The stocking intention has not yet appeared. The rigid demand is still the main component, and social inventories have increased. The performance of external disks was poor, and export orders were limited. Commodities fluctuated at a low level as a whole, and investors still had different opinions. This week, the domestic PVC market fluctuated, and the price center of gravity dropped slightly.
Forecast: There is no obvious contradiction in the current PVC fundamentals, but there are still expectations of weakening. The upstream PVC companies have a large sales task before the Spring Festival, but the current stocking intention of the downstream has not yet appeared, and the social inventory is hovering at a low level. There is limited room for further downside in the price of Calcium Carbide in the short-term, and there is certain support on the PVC cost side. At present, the increase in social inventory is expected to be obvious. In the later stage, we need to pay attention to the terminal stocking situation and changes in the cost of calcium carbide. It is expected that the PVC market will be weak and fluctuate next week.
